Actress and soon-to-be-mother Kareena Kapoor Khan recently fell prey to one such crime after her IT account was hacked and an impostor filed her tax returns. Soon a case was registered with the Cyber Crime Cell of Mumbai Crime Branch in BKC, over a false tax returns claim under section 419 of IPC (cheating by impersonation) and 66 & 66 C of the Information Technology Act (Punishment for identity theft). We hear that the impostor had illegally hacked into her account in August and uploaded the fake income tax return for 2015-16. The complaint was filed by the actress� Chartered Accountant Prakash Thakkar on Friday and had also added in the report that someone had used Kareena�s PAN card number too and password whilst filing the returns. Followed by the decision of IMPPA to ban Pakistani artists, now we hear that Pakistani theatres have decided to stop the screening of Indian films in their country. Nadeem Mandviwalla owner of Mandviwalla Entertaiment has confirmed the same stating that they have decided to suspend the screening of Indian films until the situation turns normal. Though no official announcement has been made on the same, some theatre owners like that of Super Cinema, Khorem Gultasab have given their nod to the ban adding that no Bollywood films will be screened in their theatres for the next two weeks. On the other hand, some others like Cinepax are waiting for a declaration to be made but retain that they will be in support of the other exhibitors and will go ahead with the ban once they receive an official statement about the same. Mandviwalla, as of now, maintained that the current ban on Indian films is more of a campaign started by theatre owners rather than the government and is retaliation to the IMPPA ban on Pakistani artists. Last week, Raj Thackeray�s MNS party had released a decree giving 48-hour ultimatum to Pakistani artists to leave the country. Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Atif Aslam and many more artists have faced the wrath of people as none of them have condemned this attack. During a media interaction that was held this afternoon for the launch of the Being Human merchandise, Salman Khan was asked about the Uri attack and the Indian Army�s surgical strikes. He said, �Ideal situation should have been that of peace. In this day and age, I think if we lived in peace and harmony it would have been better for everyone and especially for common people." However, reacting to the surgical strikes by the Indian army, Salman did retain that the act was appropriate. He said, "They are terrorists. It was a proper action." Amidst the fan chaos and the presence of media, an incident left John Abraham miffed which further also resulted in the actor being accused of slapping a fan. Sources present at the event claim that whilst John Abraham was heading towards his car after the launch, in a bid to catch a glimpse of the star as well as click a selfie, the actor was grabbed by one of his fans. Upset with it, an angry John allegedly slapped him publically. It was further being said that the actor even threatened a photographer who tried to capture the incident. However, there is also another version to the story. Apparently, the die-hard fan went a little overboard and not only grabbed the actor�s t-shirt but also scratched him. Amidst the fan chaos and the presence of media, an incident left John Abraham miffed which further also resulted in the actor being accused of slapping a fan. Sources present at the event claim that whilst John Abraham was heading towards his car after the launch, in a bid to catch a glimpse of the star as well as click a selfie, the actor was grabbed by one of his fans. Upset with it, an angry John allegedly slapped him publically. It was further being said that the actor even threatened a photographer who tried to capture the incident. Central Board of Film Censors� Chairperson Mobashir Hasan questioned in an interview asking how could they ban a film that was not been submitted for certification. He also added that the local distributors had not even applied for the NoC of the film. Confirming the same, Harry believes that the existence of the colony is a result of the happenings of this dark day. He added that when they visited the colony as a part of the research for the film, they immediately decided to share a portion of the revenue of the film with them. Just like he is not doing Five! Or for that matter half a dozen other films that seemingly feature him and promise to keep him occupied forever. "More than painful, it is plain embarrassing to see such sort of news making rounds," informs our insider, "To have younger stars being in news for such so called announcements are still understandable; after all they need to be visible in such competitive atmosphere. However, to have films being attributed to senior actors like Akshay, Khans, Ajay or Hrithik is just not comprehendible. Their work speaks for itself so they would certainly not float such 'news' per se. However, when time and again they have to clarify their stand on unsolicited announcements like this, it is embarrassing for both the actor as well as the makers who are involved." Just a few days back, Akshay's name was 'announced' for Five, something that resulted in a denial. Over last couple of years, at least half a dozen films have been announced for Salman Khan, none of which went beyond the rumor stage. Moreover, the moment Sanjay Dutt came out of jail, there were six-seven movies that were spoken about in one month flat. Then, there also have been many speculations around films being picked by other superstars, all of which ultimately got designated as pure speculations. "People must understand that today if a film has to be announced, a superstar typically uses the social media to do that himself," our industry source adds, "Shah Rukh Khan announced his film with Aanand L. Rai on Twitter. Yash Raj sent an official email announcing Thugs of Hindostan with Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. They did the same for Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai too. Rakesh Roshan was the first to announce Krrish 4. And then Akshay of course revealed not just the name but also the First Look poster of Crack on Twitter. That's the way to announce a film, and it's a proper way too." This may be heartbreaking though for many who were expecting Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan to return, and that too with Rohit Shetty as the backing force, considering the fact that all three of them think commercial and are hence a lethal combination. "When that has to happen, it will happen," our source continues, "For now though, it is all in the air. As the adage goes, there is many a slip between cup and lip. Itni cheezein beech mein hoti hain between a concept being put together, a hero being thought of and ultimately an announcement being made.
