Actress and soon-to-be-mother Kareena Kapoor Khan recently fell prey to one such crime after her IT account was hacked and an impostor filed her tax returns. Soon a case was registered with the Cyber Crime Cell of Mumbai Crime Branch in BKC, over a false tax returns claim under section 419 of IPC (cheating by impersonation) and 66 & 66 C of the Information Technology Act (Punishment for identity theft). We hear that the impostor had illegally hacked into her account in August and uploaded the fake income tax return for 2015-16. The complaint was filed by the actress� Chartered Accountant Prakash Thakkar on Friday and had also added in the report that someone had used Kareena�s PAN card number too and password whilst filing the returns. Police officials are currently investigating the matter and are in search of the culprit as well as the place where the impostor got access to the government website. #movies #theatre #video
