Readers may be aware that the actress is shooting for Srijit Mukherjee's remake of his Bengali film Rajkahini in Jharkhand where the irregular weather condition seems to be posing a problem. While certain days are extremely hot, the rains on some other days make the ambience pleasant. And to add to that the film involves the usage of guns considering that it revolves around the time of partition. A source confirmed that recently while Vidya was shooting for a climax scene she felt uneasy owing to the strong smell of gun powder. An ambulance was, however, parked outside the set to avoid any emergency situation. Thankfully there was no health issue and the actress resumed shooting in a span of five minutes. The crew was alright taking a break but Vidya, being the thorough professional that she is, did not want to delay the shoot. Talking about the incident, director Srijit Mukherjee said, "It is such a pleasure to work with Vidya. She is a thorough professional. Though one could see she was uncomfortable and the production called the doctor, she was back to shooting in 5 minutes. " Yet another incident that plagued the set was that of a camera assistant suffering facial burns whilst shooting for a crucial sequence in the film that involved torches. While speculations had it that these injuries were serious, Srijit maintained that they were minor and the said assistant was immediately treated for the same and that he soon resumed shooting.Begum Jaan is a story of 11 fearless women standing up against the system amidst the changing political scenario during partition. While Vidya plays the protagonist, the rest of the cast includes Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Mishti, Ila Arun among others. #AbToHasNEWS Kabir Khan and Siddharth Anand to direct Eros two Indo-Chinese co-productions Eros International Media Ltd announced today that Trinity Pictures, India's first franchise feature film studio, is planning two landmark Indo-China co-productions to be released in fiscal 2018 -Kabir Khan's travel drama The Zookeeper (working title) and Siddharth Anand's cross-cultural romantic comedy Love in Beijing (working title). The films will be co-produced with China's Peacock Mountain Culture & Media Ltd. and Huaxia Film Distribution Co. Ltd. The two films are the first ever Indo-China co-productions set in both India and China and will have Han Sanping, former Chairman of China Film Group, as their Creative Producer. Sanping has produced more than 300 films and 100 TV series, including Red Cliff, Karate Kid and Let the Bullet Fly. With the cast from both India and China - a leading Indian male actor and leading Chinese actress, Kabir Khan's human drama, The Zookeeper, tells the journey of an Indian zoo keeper to China to find a panda to return to India with in order to save his zoo. Siddharth Anand's cross-cultural romantic comedy, Love in Beijing, also with an A-lister Indian actress and leading Chinese male actor is based on an Indian girl who falls in love with a Chinese man. Production costs for The Zookeeper by Kabir Khan are expected to be (approximately) USD $25.0 million and Love in Beijing (approximately) USD $15.0 million. The films will be shot simultaneously in both languages and are due for release in Fiscal 2018. While the original stories were developed by the Trinity Pictures Writers' Room, creative teams from both Trinity Pictures and the Chinese film companies have worked closely on the scripts to create storylines that blend Sino-Indian culture. The films will be shot across India and China with major parts of Kabir Khan's The Zookeeper shot in Chengdu while Siddharth Anand's Love in Beijing will be shot in Beijing and its suburbs. Commenting on the Indo-China co-productions, Jyoti Deshpande, Group CEO, Eros International said, "We continue to establish our dominant global distribution network including entry into the Chinese market. #AbToHasNEWS Salman Khan skips summons from MSCW Earlier we had reported that following the controversial 'raped woman' remark by Salman Khan, the National Commission for Women (NCW) and the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) had sent Salman summons to appear before them to explain his reasons for making such a statement. Now we hear that after missing the hearings on two previous occasions, Salman, yet again skipped personal appearance for the third time before the MSCW. However, he did send a letter to the panel, responding to the summons that were issued to him, till date, over his 'raped woman' remark. Though the contents of the letter sent to the MSCW are unknown, the commission acknowledged its receipt and are consulting with their legal department. Commenting on the same, Vijaya Rahatkar the chairperson for the MSCW stated that post studying the letter with their legal team, they will decide upon a suitable course of action. There is one character of a maid (played by actress Sonali Raut), who had been named 'Shiney' in the film. For the still uninitiated, Shiney Ahuja had been convicted of the rape charges against him and had been sentenced to seven years in prison. Even though he has been out on bail since 2011, the very usage of 'Shiney' in the film has not gone well with him. Hence the actor has decides to take legal action against the film's producer Ekta Kapoor. The legal notice reportedly mentions that "The name of the maid 'Shiney' and the actors trying to find some masti with her in the movie Great Grand Masti, will have greater ramification and impact on the mind of the viewer and will tend to curtail or impair the freedom of the limbs of the judicial proceedings". It also calls for the immediate removal of the name 'Shiney' from the movie before its release. Also, if the said demand wasn't met, then legal action, civil as well as criminal, would be taken. Shiney Ahuja's lawyers felt that this 'rude, cheap joke' was bound not just influence the audiences' minds against Shiney Ahuja, but also could impact the pending judicial proceedings. Shiney Ahuja's advocate also stated that the Great Grand Masti's producers conduct, at this juncture, constituted Criminal Contempt as defined under Section 2(c) of the Contempt of Court Act 1971. #AbToHasNEWS Tamannaah Bhatia sizzles in a dance number for Prabhu Dheva never attempted before Prabhu Dheva and director A.L Vijay are shooting a dance number in Mumbai for the Hindi-Tamil-Telugu film Abhinetri. Speaking exclusively on the subject Prabhu says, "It's unlike anything seen in our films so far. Tamannaah has rehearsed for 15 days non-stop to get the steps right." Prabhu is not choreographing the number. "No I am not. Paresh Shirodkar (Tiger Shroff's dance guru) is doing the choreography. I am not even dancing with Tamannaah. I'll just be watching her amazing moves as part of the audience." What is so amazing about Tamannaah's dance steps? "It's something even I haven't attempted. The steps are Western. It's a pub setting and Tamannaah will be seen grooving to an after-party number. I can tell you right now, this number will be a pub favourite after release. Tamannaah moves like a breeze." Interestingly, Prabhu has similarly raved about Sonakshi Sinha's dancing skills in the past when she did a series of Hindi films directed by Prabhu. #AbToHasNEWS Hrithik Roshan confirms his whopping Satellite deal with Star There have been reports all across the Indian media about Hrithik Roshan historic deal with a satellite channel for Rs. 550 crores which gives the channel rights to broadcast his next six films. The report that first appeared in a tabloid in Mumbai quoted sources close to the development to announce, "The actor has signed a Rs 550-crore deal which takes off next year, for the satellite rights of his next six films." Understandably the report created ripples all across the print and electronic media and on websites. As it turns out, this report is only partially true. The actor has not merely "signed a Rs 550 crore deal" but is actually going into partnership with the channel Star India for his forthcoming films.The partnership starts not "next year" as stated in the report but with the actor's next film Mohenjo Daro which opens in August this year. Also, Hrithik's historic collaboration with Star India is for 5 films, and not 6 films as stated in the report. Confirming this Hrithik Roshan states, "Yes, I have collaborated with Star. They are my partners on my next 5 movies." The partnership begins with Ashutosh Gowariker's period film Mohenjo Daro then goes on to Hrithik's home production Kaabil which Sanjay Gupta directs. Since Hrithik has not signed any other film at the moment, his partnership with Star India is at the moment valid for only two films. #movies #theatre #video
