#AbToHasNEWS Mirzya to premiere at London Film Festival The Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's directorial venture Mirzya that marks the debut of Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor has been picking up steam since the unveiling of the actor's first look. Now we hear that the film is all set to be featured on the international stage with the premiere of the film at the 60th BFI London Film Festival. In fact the premiere of the film is scheduled to happen on Thursday October 6, where the film's director will be joined by leading stars of the film, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher. The letter has come into some amount of disapproval from a section of the media which feels the letter is part of the publicity for Big B's new release Pink. But Big B is characteristically clear-headed on the issue. "What has been expressed in that letter has been within me from time. I have had such thoughts and beliefs always and have followed them in my environ and in my family. Working on Pink put me in direct touch with those emotions." Bachchan doesn't deny the fact that the letter is inspired by the situations and circumstances in Pink. "In many ways the essence of the letter is what purports to be the essence of the concept of Pink. I have not spoken a single dialogue in Pink that does not have my belief in it. If I were not to be working in the film I would still have had no hesitation in publicly saying what I have said in the film. #AbToHasNEWS Aankhen 2 producer Gaurang Doshis legal counsel negates contempt of court claim Just yesterday, there were reports stating that the Aankhen sequel had run into legal trouble with producer Gaurang Doshi being slapped with a Contempt of Court order and also that the cast members of the film had been served notices. Now clarifying on the same Gaurang Doshi's legal counsel states, "Firstly, there is no contempt of court order against my client, there is only a show cause notice issued by the Hon`ble Court which my client shall be replying to. Secondly, the statement that legal notice have been sent to the director and to the actors also seems to be false to the best of the acknowledge of my client. Thirdly, the statement that my client`s previous counsel Chirag Modi had informed the court on August 9, 2016 that his client had nothing to do with Aankhen 2, is also absolutely false. In fact, the matter was not even heard on August 9, 2016. The court records and orders clearly reveal the falsehood in the said statements of Rajeev." Further talking about acquisition of the film's rights, Doshi's counsel adds, "Rajtaru is very well aware that my client has purchased all rights in the film Aankhen 2 from Eros International Media Pvt. Ltd. in whom the entire copyrights, all Media rights, Intellectual Property rights, Title of the film and all other rights in the said film exclusively vest for the term in perpetuity and for the Territory of whole world including India. Fourthly, that the statements that "If work on Aankhen 2 is not stopped, and arrest warrant awaits Doshi" is also baseless and only on presumptions and to tarnish my client`s image." Laying the blame on Rajeev Rajtaru, who had filed the case against Doshi, the lawyer says, "In fact, it is Rajeev Rajtaru who has made false and misleading statements before the media with dishonest and malafide intentions by misquoting the facts on record in the pleadings and proceedings before the Hon`ble Court with an intention to prejudice the public at large as well as the Hon`ble Court while the matter is sub-judice. Rajeev Rajtaru has thus attempted to create hindrance in the process of law and has interfered with the administration of justice, which makes Rajeev liable for contempt of court. My client shall be filing appropriate application before the Hon`ble Court by placing all the above-mentioned facts on records and for appropriate orders and directions against Rajeev of Rajtaru Studios. The title song alone involved the blended talents of Sufi singers from India, Pakistan and Balochistan. While Daler Mehndi and the upcoming young Sufi singers The Nooran sisters, Jyoti and Sultan from Jalandhar comprise the Indian contingent of singers for the title track, from Pakistan came the legendary Sufi singer Sain Zahoor who sings predominantly at religious shrines. That isn't all. The internationally celebrated Balochi folk singer Akhtar Chanal Zahri also flew in to pitch in for the title song giving a kind of epic heft to Gulzar's lyrics. While Daniel and Cliff are already in Mumbai, they will accompany Majeed to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi tomorrow. For the uninitiated, the case began in April this year, when the Thane police seized Rs 2,000 crore-worth of the banned party drug Ephedrine. Well, now we hear that the actor will be undergoing some serious prep work to play an army man in the film that is inspired by true events. Talking about his prep work, Emraan stated that since he has never played a character that is so physically demanding before, he will need to do a certain form of military training for a couple of months. In fact, Hashmi will undergo a boot camp-style workshop too which includes army training and learning how to use rifles and guns. Apart from the physicality required for the role, Emraan's character in the film will also demand a certain body language that has to suit his part. Both Shivaay and ADHM producers have already sent out clear signals to the multiplex chains across the country that a majority of the theatres and screens must-repeat, must -- be booked for their films. Written by Yasser Usman book, excerpts from the book have gone viral. Rekha's life has been nothing short of controversial. In 1990, she got married to a businessman Mukesh Aggarwal who committed suicide a year later after getting married. So, Rekha's biography reveals the differences they had during their marriage, his clinical depression, divorce, and suicide. In the biography, the writer reveals about the time when this incident occurred in Rekha's life and how no one from film industry supported her except Shashi Kapoor. The writer mentioned that how only Shashi Kapoor reached out to her after Mukesh had committed suicide. Rekha was one of the biggest stars at that time but received a lot of backlash for it from not just the fans but people from industry as well. Using a quote, Yasser Usman pointed out that filmmaker Subhash Ghai had allegedly once said in an interview that Rekha had put such a blot on the face of the film industry that no conscientious director would work with her ever again. In another excerpt, Anupam Kher was quoted saying that Rekha had become the national vamp. Professionally and personally, he thought her career was over. He said that he had no idea how he'd react if he ever came face to face with her. Rekha's film Sheshnag was about to release when Mukesh Aggarwal had committed suicide. #AbToHasNEWS Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam return as judges for Indian Idol season 7 After years, Sonu Nigam has decided to return as the judge of Indian Idol season 7. Sonu had previously judged a couple of seasons of this music reality show along with music composer Anu Malik but soon several others like Udit Narayan, Javed Akhtar among others became a part of the judging panel but Sonu wasn't a part of it anymore. And now, Sonu is all set to join hands with music director Anu Malik. On the other hand, music composer Malik was a part of almost all seasons of the music reality show and in fact, the musician also went on to be a part of Asian Idol as a judge, as the only music representative from India. Sonu Nigam was previously also associated with yet another show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee TV. However, Indian Idol is known for giving the music industry some popular singers like Abhijeet Sawant, Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Shukre and even actors like Meiyang Chang and Amit Tandon. Sonu Nigam is known for some spectacular chartbusters like 'Tu Hi Tu' (Dil Se), 'Saathiya', 'Yeh Dil' (Pardes), 'Suraj Hua Maddam' (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham), Kal Ho Naa Ho title track among others and Anu Malik has composed music for renowned films like Border, Refugee, Asoka and the recent Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
